It is built for clinicians, medical coders, billing staff, students, and anyone who needs to quickly look up a diagnosis code, understand what it covers, or find its correct billable variant.

How this differs from a typical code lookup tool

Beyond the raw code and description, each page on this site includes the full hierarchy (chapter → section → category → code), plain-language explanations of what each type of clinical note (Excludes1, Excludes2, Code First, Use Additional Code, etc.) actually means, cross-linked references to related codes, and — where a historical equivalent exists — the corresponding ICD-9-CM code from the official CMS crosswalk.
